From Challenges to Creations: A Creative Industries Exploration
The programme will be focused on a range of topics related to creative industries in the digital age. You will get equipped with design thinking methods to make your way from challenges to solutions.
- The on-site week will begin with getting to know your teammates, field professionals and challenges which are to be addressed. In the “Emphasize” phase you will dive into your topic and investigate different facets of it. At this stage, the goal is to get a full picture of the given problem and various needs behind it.
- The next step is to organize all your insights and define the problem more thoroughly. Here you should apply a human-centered approach, which means putting yourself into the shoes of your target group and adapting their perspective on the issue.
- After defining the problem, it will be high time to start brainstorming possible solutions. An open mindset is the key to exploring as many opportunities as possible.
- Finally, you will reach the prototype phase, where you should bring your best idea into life. You will have to create a basic version of your solution and present it to the audience. In the follow-up online phase, you will have time to test your creation.
Along the way, you will gain essential future skills and competencies such as analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, showing creativity in dealing with obstacles and learning to deal with uncertainties.
Aside from a hands-on learning process, this programme offers a great chance to build your social and professional network and to explore Austrian culture by visiting the cities of St. Pölten and Vienna.
