Blended Intensive Programmes

From Challenges to Creations: A Creative Industries Exploration

The programme focused on a range of topics related to the creative industries in the digital age. Participants were equipped with design thinking methods to guide them from challenges to innovative solutions.

  • The on-site week began with getting to know team members, field professionals, and the challenges to be tackled. During the “Emphasise” phase, participants delved into their topics and examined various dimensions. The aim at this stage was to gain a full understanding of the problem and the underlying needs.
  • Next, participants organised their insights and defined the problem more clearly. A human-centred approach was applied, encouraging them to step into the shoes of their target audience and consider the issue from their perspective.
  • Once the problem had been clearly defined, it was time to brainstorm potential solutions. An open mindset proved essential in exploring a wide range of possibilities.
  • Finally, participants entered the prototyping phase, where they brought their best ideas to life. They developed basic versions of their solutions and presented them to the audience. In the follow-up online phase, they had the opportunity to test and refine their creations.

Throughout the programme, participants developed essential future skills such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, creativity in overcoming obstacles, and resilience in the face of uncertainty.

In addition to hands-on learning, the programme offered a valuable opportunity to expand both social and professional networks and to experience Austrian culture through visits to St. Pölten and Vienna.
