Blended Intensive Programmes

Trends in Research and Innovation in Computer Science

Today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape demanded innovative solutions. Reinforcement learning, a key area of artificial intelligence, was driving breakthroughs in automation, decision-making, and optimisation.

This course focused on "The Future of Coding," combining applied research, innovation, and digitalisation to explore the potential of reinforcement learning.

The course "The Future of Coding" consisted of three main parts:

  • Theoretical Part: Explored the role of reinforcement learning in shaping the future of AI and examined the latest research and emerging trends in the field.
  • Practical Part: Provided hands-on experience with reinforcement learning using AWS DeepRacer, developing an understanding of how agents learn through trial and error.
  • Exercise Part: Tested participants’ skills by challenging fellow attendees with optimised code to achieve the fastest lap time on AWS DeepRacer.
