SOCIAL WORK IN A DIGITAL WORLD. DIGITAL WORK IN A SOCIAL WORLD.
Our society is constantly changing because of digitalisation, globalisation and more recently – also because of the pandemic. Social work is a profession which had to change and adapt all the time because of the ongoing transformation of the media, IT, technology, etc. Social work aims to empower the society to change and its people to help themselves. It remains a profession dedicated to human rights. We seek to make the world a better place for all human beings. It might turn into a social world.
Upon completion of the course, students know about change factors regarding societies cohesion as well as the including and excluding effects of digitalisation. They are trained in the use of digital methods of social work and can discuss advantages as well as disadvantages. They are able to create their own approaches to digital communication
